What makes your company green?

We only use non-toxic, biodegradable cleaning supplies and energy efficient equipment in all our residential and commercial cleanings. We never switch our supplies to provide a high quality cleaning. All of our supplies is Green Seal certified, EPA approved or homemade natural products.

Our equipment is efficient to do a fabulous job if not better than regular cleaning supplies. Our energy efficient equipment reduces the consumption usage of natural resources (water, gas to the heat the water and electricity) in your home and keep your utility bills down.

I hear green products don’t do a great job. Why should I switch from a regular cleaning company to a green cleaning company?

By choosing a green cleaning company that uses green practices, you know that they are going to implement techniques that conserve electricity and water, and use resources wisely. Our products are safe for pets, children and adults with respiratory problems like allergies, asthma or sensitivity to odors from chemicals.If you live in a home with children, it is extremely important to use natural and safe cleansers. Instead of constantly worrying about keeping your supplies locked up and out of reach, you can keep organic and natural products instead that are not harmful if ingested.

My last cleaning company always sent different cleaners. Will your company do that?

We try to send the same cleaners every visit. If one of your regular cleaners are unable to come on your scheduled day we will send another cleaner that may already be familiar with your home. We never send new cleaners every visit. Sending the same crew ensures the quality of the service and increases  comfort for the client.

How many cleaners can I expect?

We send anywhere from 1 to 4 cleaners depending on the type of cleaning and the size of your home. On average 2-3 cleaners are sent to all cleanings. There’s a Team Leader always present to supervise the crew.

Can I trust your cleaners?

Absolutely! We conduct a 5 step process before considering a job offer to a job applicant which they must pass. Just to name a few, they include a character reference check and background check. Our cleaners are professionally trained for 2-3 weeks on how to professionally clean a home using a green cleaning process before they are sent to regular recurring clients. All of our cleaners are trustworthy, detailed, reliable and friendly. If we can’t trust them in our homes, we won’t send them to yours.

What if there is more work than I expected when I scheduled my appointment?

The Team Leader will inform you at the beginning or during the cleaning on the progress of your cleaning. We can give you a call if we have time to do more for the same visit, and you can just pay an additional hourly. Or, we can quickly schedule a return visit.

What services are performed each visit?

We customize every client’s cleaning during a walk through scheduled before the first appointment or during the first few minutes of the appointment. We add and remove some cleaning tasks based on your needs and expectations. Please check out the summary of our cleanings on our residential cleaning services page.

Do I have to be present during the cleaning?

We prefer for the client to be present or available by phone the first 3-5 minutes during the first appointment. Most clients leave and return at the end of the cleaning. Other clients explain to the cleaners on how to lock up and leave for the day. Whatever makes you feel comfortable is totally up to you.

After your 1st cleaning, we can make arrangments on how to enter your home or you are more than welcome to provide us with a key after completing a key release form. We keep all keys secured.

Why do I need to be present the first few minutes of my first appointment?

The team leader will do a quick walk through and notate your specific requests on our intake form. Every client’s home is different and have different expectations for their cleanings. We customize every cleaning based on the client’s needs, expectations and habits. At this time the team leader may make suggestions on other cleaning tasks or services that can be included and offer alternatives to keep your cleaning cost efficient. Documenting this information ensures the quality of our service and thoroughness of the crew or if your crew every changes.

Are you bonded and insured?

Yes, our company and all of our cleaners are covered with our insurance and bonding provider.

Will you use my cleaning products or equipment?

We provide everything from the cleaning supplies, equipment and vacuum. We are required to provide Material Safety Data Sheets for all supplies to our staff and train them on how to use the cleaning supplies during training. Unfortunately they will not be able to use the clients supplies. If you prefer for the cleaners to use your vacuum just let us know when scheduling.

Why do I have a 30 minute - 1 hour appointment window?

Occasionally we have unforeseen circumstances that delays the crew arrival time. These can range from unexpected traffic, unable to enter a client’s home at the scheduled time or a cleaning ending earlier or later than scheduled.

I need to reschedule my appointment. What should I do?

Notify us asap. We require a 24 hour notice for any rescheduled appointments. If we do not receive 24 hour notice from the scheduled appointment time, there is a $33 cancellation fee.

I can hire a cleaning lady to do the same things Eco Home & Office Cleaning can do. Why should I pay more? What’s the difference between using your company and a cleaning lady?

The cleaning lady that you can hire for $10/hour is just a person that you are paying to clean. In most cases the client provides the supplies to the cleaning lady. This requires you to remember what you need to restock in time for the cleaning lady, spending gas, time and $20-50 on supplies and equipment every other month.

Hiring Eco Home & Office Cleaning is helping employ people in your community that are insured and bonded through the company. We provide our own supplies that is healthier and safer than regular cleaning supplies. Our employees wages are taxed whereas the cleaning lady typically can’t afford to pay taxes. Our cleaners are trained to work with a crew in a systematic order in a timely fashion while still providing a quality cleaning. Using our service provides peace of mind and safety to the client.  We reduce the risks, uncertainty and liability in your home when you’re not present that the “cleaning lady” can’t offer.

I don’t need my whole house cleaned all the time. My main concerns are the bathrooms, kitchen and floors. Do I have to pay for a full house cleaning?

How can I pay?

All payments are due on the day of the cleaning. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, check or cash. We can set you up online with our payment portal to use your credit/debit cards or you can pay with them in person. Our payment portal will allow you to use multiple cards for recurring payments for future cleanings. Our PayPal email is pay@ecohomeclean.com.  If you plan to pay via check or cash, please leave the payment on the kitchen counter in a sealed envelope or folded sheet of paper taped closed.

Do your cleaners speak English?

Absolutely. All of our employees fluently speak and understand English.

What are your hours?

We schedule residential cleaning appointments Mon - Fri to start between 8 AM - 4 PM and Saturdays 8 AM - 1 PM once a month. We are closed on Sundays. Our commercial cleaning division works 24 hours, 7 days a week.

How can I know if you serve our neighborhood?

We serve the entire Chicagoland area. Some areas we only service on certain days of the week.  The majority of Chicago we cover daily.

I’m ready to get started but I don’t want to sign a contract!

Our service is an agreement its not a contract. It’s just an agreement to our policies and to use our service.
